Mechanical Watch Strap Design
Mechanical watches are a big hit with collectors because of their craftsmanship and historical value. Every detail of the watch is carefully designed by designers, such as shape, material, movement, strap, logo and so on. Today we mainly talk about the design of watch straps.
What are the main types of watch straps on the market:
- Quick-release bar type strap: It adopts spring-type quick-release bar design, so that the strap can be replaced without tools, which is convenient for users to switch straps according to different occasions;
- Standard spring bar type strap: commonly found in traditional straps, using a spring bar fixed on the lugs;
- Pin buckle strap: the end of the strap with a small hole, with a pin buckle closure;
- Butterfly buckle strap: hidden double press butterfly buckle design, commonly used in metal strap and leather strap, reduce the wear and tear of the strap;
- Folding buckle strap: commonly used in metal straps, suitable for heavier or thicker watch models;
- Buckle straps (e.g. Velcro): using adhesive buckle design, mostly used for sports straps, convenient for quick adjustment of length.

how to adjust the spring bar type strap?
Removing the quick release bar type strap is designed to facilitate frequent replacement of the strap, when the length of your watch needs to be adjusted
- Prepare tools: watch adjuster (if you don’t have it, you can take the card pin from your cell phone instead), S91 silver color
- Determine the links to be removed: wear the watch and estimate how many links need to be removed, it is usually recommended to remove them equally from both sides of the band to keep the band and clasp balanced.
- Locate the arrows on the links: Find the area where the links need to be removed and turn to the back of the watch where you can see the small arrow marking the arrow indicating the direction in which the pins will be removed
- Remove the pins: Align the regulator with the pin holes and twist the regulator to gently push out the steel pins of the bracelet.
- Remove the links: Adjust the strap to the size of your wrist.
- Reconnecting the bracelet: Align the remaining links and insert them into the pins, gently pushing them in to ensure that the pins are secure and the bracelet is tightly connected.
- Check the length: Wear the watch to confirm that the length is appropriate and fine-tune if necessary.
Note: Be careful not to lose the pins during the adjustment process, you can use a towel to place them in advance and place them to be lost.
